Getting started

Create your family from Homeroom's welcome screen. Use the parent's email and choose a family name and password. Keep the parent sign-in for adults.

  1. Open Settings → Students and add each student. Choose an avatar and, if useful on a shared device, a four-digit student PIN.
  2. Open Settings → School year. Set the year dates, your school days and family timezone. Add breaks and holidays in Settings.
  3. Open Settings → Subjects. Add subjects for each student, choose their weekdays and colors, and enable a grading scale where you want grades.
  4. Open Add to enter lessons. Quick add handles individual lessons; Generator creates a numbered sequence; Import previews pasted spreadsheet or CSV content.
  5. Open Today to see each student's work. Switch to student view when you hand over the device. Students see their own schedule and can mark lessons complete.
  6. Open Reports at the end of the week. Review progress, export a CSV or print the report.

Use the same subject colors across students when that makes your calendar easier to read. Green is reserved for completed work; Science's suggested color is teal.

Who uses each view

Parents plan, edit and manage records. Students use their own profile for daily work. A co-teacher can be invited from Settings → Teachers with their own sign-in; the family owner retains billing and teacher management.

A child's PIN opens a student profile. It does not turn that profile into a parent account. To return to planning or settings, use the app's parent flow.

For the next step, see lessons and schedules or daily tracking.
