Accounts and billing
Your family account holds the students, plans and learning records. Use Settings to manage students, subjects, teachers and family preferences.
Co-teachers
The family owner can invite a co-teacher from Settings → Teachers. Each teacher uses their own sign-in to work with the same family. The owner retains billing and teacher management.
MCP consent and private AI draft review in the dev pilot belong to the family owner. Co-teacher access to the ordinary app does not grant those pilot permissions.
Plans and payment
The public guide checked October 4, 2026 lists a 30-day trial without a credit card, followed by $5.99 per month or $49 per year. Confirm current pricing and your account's status on the Homeroom site and Billing before paying.
Use Billing to subscribe, manage an existing subscription or reactivate an expired account. Payment setup and account eligibility determine which actions appear. A canceled checkout does not activate a subscription. Confirm the resulting billing status after completing payment.
If a trial or subscription has ended, the billing screen explains how to restore access. Existing students, lessons and records remain available for resuming your work. The signed-in parent can export data from the billing screen even when ordinary access is expired.
Export your records
Open Settings → Your data & account → Export to download an archive of your account data. Weekly reports also export as CSV, and reports have print/PDF layouts. Keep the downloaded archive private; it contains your family's records.
These Settings and Reports paths describe ordinary active access. If access is blocked after your trial or subscription expires, use the export link on Billing instead.
Google Calendar
When Google Calendar sync is available on your site, connect it from Settings. Homeroom creates a calendar per student and sends lesson events one way to those calendars. It does not import your existing Google calendar as a lesson plan.
Editing a Google event is not an edit to Homeroom's lesson record. Disconnecting and reconnecting Google sync are separate from connecting an AI assistant.
MCP pilot execution is blocked for a child with an external-calendar connection. Disconnecting another service is a deliberate account choice; do not do it just to bypass a preview error. See pilot troubleshooting.
For information about data use and account deletion, read the current Privacy Policy and Terms. Do not infer retention or training guarantees from an export or from a single preference switch.
